This picture is from an article called “The Rescuing Hug”. The article details the first week of life of a set of twins. Each were in their respective incubators and one was not expected to live. A hospital nurse fought against the hospital rules and placed the babies in one incubator. When they were placed together, the healthier of the two, threw an arm over her sister in an endearing embrace. The smaller baby’s heart stabilized and temperature rose to normal.

I lost my hair due to an autoimmune disease called Alopecia Areata so I decided that people are going to stare at a bald woman so I would give them something awesome to stare at and when asked about it I can spread awareness of this life changing disease.

I miss when he would chase me down the street
I miss when he’d give me ebly and tinned tomatoes for dinner cause he’s a rubbish cook
I miss making pancakes on shrove tuesday with him
I miss when he was my best friend
I miss when it was just me and him in our wee flat
I miss laughing at all of his jokes
I miss being his wee girl
I miss being the centre of his world
I barely know him now and he barely knows me.
Things are just awkward.
